Idler Sheave Lock

The Idler Sheave Lock has been designed with larger boats in mind. This lock is for loads of 20T and above when the reaction loads of an 'over the sheave' lock would be too high. The lock has a titanium lower sheave to take any vector load angle from 10 - 35 degrees from the deck, meaning the installation angle is not as critical. Also, due to the unique design, compared to a Bayonet Lock, it minimises the protrusion from the mast and hence minimises potential headsail leech damage.

Applications include asymmetric loose luff sails, luff sail lock and boom reef lock.
